West Brom suffered third defeat in a row, having lost from Newcastle on Tuesday. The Baggies lost another game where they had the upper hand and Mowbray will have to solve this problem. Blackburn battled hard at Villa Park but they lost the game and the Rovers will try to take something from this match.

Newcastle’s derby loss from Sunderland left them in the relegation zone and the Magpies will be searching for their first win since the second round of the Premier League, in the match against West Brom. The Baggies dominated the early stages of the game against Hull but they lost the match by conceding three goals in the second period. The team needs a good result in this match or they will slip in the dangerous zone.

This will be the match of recently promoted teams and the teams that proved they are good enough to stay in the Premier League. West Brom suffered a heavy defeat from Manchester United but they will immediately turn to this game and try to end Hull’s excellent run. Hull City continues to impress and if the Tigers continue in this fashion they will ensure survival before Christmas.

The team won their last four games in all the competitions entered and they shouldn’t have too much problems in this match. They could have at least taken a point, as they created a lot of chances even though they were outnumbered.

Middlesbrough missed the chance to win their last league match, and they were punished for that. The team traveled to Old Trafford for Carling Cup game on Tuesday, and again lost the game thanks to two late goals. The Baggies lost the Midlands derby against Aston Villa, and they will need to pick up at least a point to stay above the relegation zone.

West Brom go into this match on the back of their first win in the Premier League this season, and they will try to take advantage of Villa’s busy schedule and win this game. Aston Villa showed they have no problems playing games every three days, and won against both Tottenham and Litex. This is also a Midlands derby and the stakes are very high.
